Step #1- Focus on the process, not on the results you want to achieve.
Step #2- Break the process up into smaller action steps
Step #3- Ask yourself: Am I willing to sustain the discomfort & struggles that come along with achieving this goal? What are this struggles going to be?
Step #4- START NOW! And I mean NOW!

2017 is right around the corner!! Say whaaaaat! That means the time has come to start setting those new years resolutions.
Here are five tips to help you set your goals starting in January!
Happy 2013!! Hope you all had a happy and safe New Year’s Eve.
The new year never feels quite right until I’ve formally set my goals for the year. I always have an official goal setting session with one of my friends in the first week of the year (we also take this time to look back on our 2012 goals). I have already set the majority of my goals for 2013 and I share them in this video.

My main themes for 2013 are decluttering (continued from 2012), health & fitness (I took a break from this in 2012 but I think I’m ready this year), and YouTube (new in 2013). I’ve set 9 goals for 2013 and here they are!
1:35 Reduce contents of home by 25% (Decluttering)
3:08 Reduce beauty box subscriptions to 3 (Decluttering)
3:33 Implement a beauty ban for 9 months (Decluttering)
4:17 Fit into my Browns knee-high black boots (Health & Fitness)
5:15 Eat 5 servings of fruit and vegetables per day (Health & Fitness)
6:05 Plan 6 videos around a holiday or occasion (YouTube)
6:35 Film 2 reviews and/or tutorials per month (YouTube)
7:07 Savings goal + rewards (Miscellaneous)
7:46 Take a photo a day and post to my Tumblr (Miscellaneous)
That is basically it! I will be doing quarterly video updates this year because I found the monthly videos a little too overwhelming and repetitive. However, checking in on a monthly basis really helped me stay on track so I will still be doing monthly blog posts with my goals updates in case you are interested.

If you haven’t set your goals yet, I fully believe you can set goals at any time of the year (as I mentioned, I usually set them in the first week of the new year but I wanted to set them early this year to record this video).
